Once again our Christmas party held in Consett Methodist Church Hall was a great success both with guests attending and the young people presenting it. Young people engaged with our Project planned, helped prepare and served the afternoon tea as well as organising a game of “prize bingo” for groups of senior citizens from the area.
This year was our 6th time organising the intergenerational activity aimed at building bridges and breaking down prejudice from both sides. Everyone had a great day enjoying both the food and the company.
Our thanks go out to Consett Academy and St. Bedes for allowing the young people to take part in the activity, the choir for their great entertainment and the guests who attended. Of course we were so proud of the young people and the effort they gave to ensure everyone had a great day.
We look forward to next year.
